﴿ وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتٍۢ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍۢ وَمَثَلًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةًۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴾

“AND, INDEED, from on high have We bestowed upon you messages clearly showing the truth, and [many] a lesson from [the stories of] those who have passed away before you, and [many] an admonition to the God-conscious.”

ثم عدد تعالى على المؤمنين نعمه فيما أنزل إليهم من الآيات المنيرات ، وفيها ضرب لهم من أمثال الماضين من الأمم ليقع التحفظ مما وقع أولئك فيه .
