﴿ مِّن وَرَآئِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا۟ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا مَا ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ﴾

“Hell is ahead of them; and all that they may have gained [in this world] shall be of no avail whatever to them, and neither shall any of those things which, instead of God, they have come to regard as their protectors: for, awesome suffering awaits them.”

وأخبر أن له عذابا أليما وأن { مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ } تكفي في عقوبتهم البليغة. وأنه { لا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ مَا كَسَبُوا } من الأموال { وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ } يستنصرون بهم فخذلوهم أحوج ما كانوا إليهم لو نفعوا.
