﴿ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ ﴾

“[God] will reply: "Thus it is: there came unto thee Our messages, but thou wert oblivious of them; and thus shalt thou be today consigned to oblivion!"”

( قال كذلك ) أي : كما ( أتتك آياتنا فنسيتها ) فتركتها وأعرضت عنها ، ( وكذلك اليوم تنسى ) تترك في النار . قال قتادة : نسوا من الخير ولم ينسوا من العذاب .
