﴿ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ ٱشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ﴾

“And yet, whenever God alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who will not believe in the life to come contract with bitter aversion - whereas, when those [imaginary powers] are mentioned side by side with Him, lo, they rejoice!”

وإذا ذُكِر الله وحده نفرت قلوب الذين لا يؤمنون بالمعاد والبعث بعد الممات، وإذا ذُكِر الذين مِن دونه من الأصنام والأوثان والأولياء إذا هم يفرحون؛ لكون الشرك موافقًا لأهوائهم.
