﴿ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌۭ لَّا ذَلُولٌۭ تُثِيرُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَلَا تَسْقِى ٱلْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌۭ لَّا شِيَةَ فِيهَا ۚ قَالُوا۟ ٱلْـَٰٔنَ جِئْتَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ ﴾

“[Moses] answered: "Behold, He says it is to be a cow not broken-in to plough the earth or to water the crops, free of fault, without markings of any other colour."Said they: "At last thou hast brought out the truth!"-and thereupon they sacrificed her, although they had almost left it undone.”

মূসা বললেন, ‘তিনি বলেছেন, সেটা এমন এক গাভি যা জমি চাষে ও ক্ষেতে পানি সেচের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়নি, সুস্থ ও নিখুঁত’। তারা বলল, ‘এখন তুমি সত্য নিয়ে এসেছ’। অবশেষে তারা সেটাকে যবেহ করলো, যদিও তারা তা করতে প্রস্তুত ছিলো না।
