﴿ أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةًۭ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُۥ مِن شَىْءٍۢ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيمًۭا قَدِيرًۭا ﴾

“Have they never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [deniers of the truth] who lived before their time and were [so much] greater than they in power? And [do they not see that the will of] God can never be foiled by anything whatever in the heavens or on earth, since, verily, He is all-knowing, infinite in His power?”

আর এরা কি যমীনে পরিভ্রমণ করেনি? তাহলে তাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কি হয়েছিল তা তারা দেখতে পেত। আর তারা ছিল এদের চেয়ে অধিক শক্তিশালী [১]। আর আল্লাহ্ এমন নন যে, তাঁকে অক্ষম করতে পারে কোন কিছু আসমানসমূহে আর না যমীনে। নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, ক্ষমতাবান। [১] কাতাদাহ বলেন, আল্লাহ অবহিত করছেন যে, তিনি সে সমস্ত জাতিকে এমন কিছু দিয়েছেন যা তোমাদেরকে দেন নি। [তাবারী।]
