﴿ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ ٱشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ﴾

“And yet, whenever God alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who will not believe in the life to come contract with bitter aversion - whereas, when those [imaginary powers] are mentioned side by side with Him, lo, they rejoice!”

আর যখন শুধু এক আল্লাহর কথা বলা হয় তখন যারা আখিরাতে বিশ্বাস করে না, তাদের অন্তর বিতৃষ্ণায় সংকুচিত হয়। আর আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে অন্য মাবুদগুলোর উল্লেখ করা হলে তখনই তারা আনন্দে উল্লসিত হয়।
