﴿ وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۭ ۚ بَلْ هُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ كَٰفِرُونَ ﴾

“For, [many are] they [who] say, “What! After we have been [dead and] lost in the earth, shall we indeed be [restored to life] in a new act of crea­tion?” Nay, but [by saying this] they deny the truth that they are destined to meet their Sustainer!”

ওরা বলে, ‘আমরা মাটিতে নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে গেলেও কি আমাদেরকে আবার নতুন করে সৃষ্টি করা হবে?’ [১] আসলে ওরা ওদের প্রতিপালকের সাক্ষাৎকে অস্বীকার করে। [১] যখন এক বস্তুর উপর অন্য এক বস্তু প্রভাবশালী হয় এবং পূর্বের সমস্ত চিহ্নকে মিটিয়ে দেয়, তখন তাকে ضلالة (নিশ্চিহ্ন হওয়া) বলা হয়। এখানে (ضَلَلْنَا فِي الأَرْضِ) এর অর্থ হবে, মাটিতে মিশে আমাদের দেহ নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে গেলেও কি---।
