﴿ قَالُوا۟ يَٰقَوْمَنَآ إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا كِتَٰبًا أُنزِلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مُوسَىٰ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ وَإِلَىٰ طَرِيقٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ ﴾

“They said: “O our people! Behold, we have been listening to a revelation bestowed from on high after [that of] Moses, confirming the truth of what­ever there still remains [of the Torah]: it guides towards the truth, and onto a straight way.”

তারা বলেছিল, ‘হে আমাদের সম্প্রদায়! আমরা এমন এক কিতাবের পাঠ শ্রবণ করেছি, যা অবতীর্ণ করা হয়েছে মূসার পরে, তা ওর পূর্ববতী কিতাবের সত্যায়নকারীরূপে সত্য ও সরল পথের দিকে পরিচালিত করে।
