As-Saaffaat • EN-AL-JALALAYN
﴿ وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ ﴾
“and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule”
and when they see a sign such as the splitting of the moon cf. Q. 541 they make it an object of ridicule they deride it.
