﴿ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ ﴾

“For, behold, in times gone by they were wont to abandon themselves wholly to the pursuit of pleasures,”

Indeed before that in the world they used to live at ease enjoying life’s comforts never wearying themselves with an act of obedience
