﴿ قَالُوا۟ سَنُرَٰوِدُ عَنْهُ أَبَاهُ وَإِنَّا لَفَٰعِلُونَ ﴾

“They answered: "We shall try to persuade his father to part with him, and, verily, we shall do [our utmost]!"”

They said, 'We will try to tempt his father away from him, that is, by purifying preparedness for the reception of his [Jacob's] effusion.
