﴿ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ فَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ ﴾

“And you turned away after that-! And had it not been for God's favour upon you and His grace, you would surely have found yourselves among the lost;”

Then you turned away, you refrained, thereafter, by turning towards the lower aspect, and but for God's bounty, in guiding the intellect, and His mercy towards you, through the light of insight and [the light of] the Law, you would have been among the losers.
