﴿ بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ الٓمٓصٓ ﴾

“Alif. Lam. Mim. Sad.”

Alif Lām Mīm Ṣād[Sahl said]:This means, �I am God, I divide up (afṣilu) my servants with truth.� From these letters is produced the name of God, Exalted is He: al-Ṣamad (the Self-Sufficing, the One who is Eternally-Besought-of-All). His words, Exalted is He:
