﴿ ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقْبَرَهُۥ ﴾

“and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave;”

then He makes him die and buries him.He said:Its inner meaning is that He causes the pleasures (ḥuẓūẓ) which the lower self derives from lust, to die, and buries him [i.e. the pleasures] within him.
