Al-Maa'un • EN-TAFSIR-IBN-ABBAS
﴿ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ ﴾
“those who want only to be seen and praised,”
(Who would be seen (at worship)) who would show off their prayer when they see people praying while abstain from praying when not seen.
