Al-Hijr • EN-TAFSIR-IBN-ABBAS
﴿ وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍۢ مُّقِيمٍ ﴾
“for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists.”
(And lo! It) i.e. the township of Lot (is upon a road still uneffaced) a road that they pass by all the time.
