﴿ قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًۭا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ ﴾

“They answered: We worship idols, and we remain ever devoted to them.””

(They said: We worship idols) deities, (and are ever devoted unto them) we worship them and remain devoted to their worship.
