﴿ أَتَّخَذْنَٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ ﴾

“[and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?””

(Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing stock) we made them subservient to us in the life of the world, (or have our eyes missed them) and we did not see them?
