An-Naazi'aat • EN-TAFSIR-IBN-ABBAS
﴿ وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ﴾
“and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul],”
(And chose the life of the world) rather than the Hereafter and also chose disbelief rather than faith,
