﴿ كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ مَا قَدْ سَبَقَ ۚ وَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَٰكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكْرًۭا ﴾

“THUS DO WE relate unto thee some of the stories of what happened in the past; and [thus] have We vouchsafed unto thee, out of Our grace, a reminder.”

Commentary وَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكْرً‌ا (And We have given to you, from Ourself, a (book on advice. - 20:99) According to a majority of commentators the word (advice) in the present context means the Qur'an.
