﴿ وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ فَٱخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌۭ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍۢ ﴾

“And, indeed, [similar was the case when] We vouchsafed the divine writ unto Moses, and some of his people set their own views against it; and had it not been for a decree that had already gone forth from thy Sustainer, judgment would indeed have been passed on them [then and there]: for, behold, they were in grave doubt, amounting to suspicion, about him [who called them unto God].”

وَاِنَّهُمْ لَفِيْ شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيْبٍ یہ بات سورة الشوریٰ میں وضاحت سے بیان کی گئی ہے کہ ہر رسول کی امت اپنی الہامی کتاب کی وارث ہوتی ہے۔ پھر جب اس امت پر زوال آتا ہے تو اپنی اس کتاب کے بارے میں بھی ان کے ہاں شکوک و شبہات پیدا ہوجاتے ہیں کہ واقعتا یہ کتاب اللہ کی طرف سے ہے بھی یا نہیں !
