﴿ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَعَصَوُا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ ٱللَّهَ حَدِيثًۭا ﴾

“Those who were bent on denying the truth and paid no heed to the Apostle will on that Day wish that the earth would swallow them: but they shall not [be able to] conceal from God anything that has happened.”

آیت 42 یَوْمَءِذٍ یَّوَدُّ الَّذِیْنَ کَفَرُوْا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُوْلَ لَوْ تُسَوّٰی بِہِمُ الْاَرْضُ ط۔یعنی کسی طرح زمین پھٹ جائے اور ہم اس میں دفن ہوجائیں ‘ ہمیں نسیاً منسیّا کردیا جائے۔
