﴿ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَأَنزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ ٱلنَّاسُ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنزَلْنَا ٱلْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ وَمَنَٰفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥ وَرُسُلَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌۭ ﴾

“Indeed, [even aforetime] did We send forth Our apostles with all evidence of [this] truth; and through them We bestowed revelation from on high, and [thus gave you] a balance [wherewith to weigh right and wrong], so that men might behave with equity; and We bestowed [upon you] from on high [the ability to make use of] iron, in which there is awesome power as well as [a source of] benefits for man: and [all this was given to you] so that God might mark out those who would stand up for him and His Apostle, even though He [Himself] is beyond the reach of human perception. Verily, God is powerful, almighty!”

دین میں دو چیزیں مطلوب ہیں۔ ایک پیروئ دین، اور دوسری حمایت دین۔ ترازو گویا پیروی دین کی علامتی تمثیل ہے۔ جس طرح ترازو پر کسی چیز کا کم و بیش ہونا معلوم ہوتا ہے۔ اسی طرح خدا کی کتاب بھی حق کی ترازو ہے۔ لوگوں کو چاہيے کہ اپنے اعمال خدا کی کتاب پر جانچ کر دیکھتے رہیں کہ وہ کس حد تک درست ہیں اور کس حد تک درست نہیں۔ اسی طرح لوہا گویا حمایت دین کی علامتی مثال ہے۔ جب بھی دین کا کوئی معاملہ پڑے تو وہاں آدمی کو لوہے کی طرح مضبوط ثابت ہونا چاہيے۔ اس کو فولادی قوت کے ساتھ دین کا دفاع کرنا چاہیے۔
